Charles Barker Infiniti Joy Fund Autocross Event

TZCC’s Z Team Racers are at it again, again they were at ACU-4 ripping up the Tarmac.

All of this was for Tidewater Sports Car Club’s annual Joy Fund event, this event raised well over $8,300 for the Virginian-Pilot Joy Fund. In my opinion this is the most fun I have ever had donating money to a charity.

It wasnt all fun and games though, it was an intense day of racing.  The mens class was just dominated by an outsider Jim Holtam (Admin and Owner of http://www.autocross.us/) driving Jim Robinsons 350Z, with a time of 48.595 this beat all the Z team racers by 1.5 seconds which is pretty bad given Jim Holtam doesnt own a Z.

The womens class was crazy, normally led by our own president Maribeth Cupps driving Wes Michaels’ Chrysler Crossfire (President of TSCC), instead was dominated by Mandy Gregg in Todd Wagners 2003 350Z. This being Mandy’s first time on race rubber and only being 2 seconds of Todds best time makes me think that next year she might have to compete with the men.

Until Next Year
